How to Use the MapQuest Map Widget

A. Map a Location:

Make sure the radio button for Maps is selected.

Enter a location such as "san francisco ca" or "1600 pennsylvania ave washington dc" and we'll quickly map it.

Drag the map to pan around or click on the "+/-" buttons in the top left corner to zoom in and out.

To expand the map, click on the red MapQuest star or the "Expand Map" button on the top corner of the map.

A new browser will open providing a larger map on www.mapquest.com.

B. Find Driving Directions:

Click on the radio button for Driving Directions.

Enter a starting and end address and click "Get Directions."

A new browser will open showing the driving directions on www.mapquest.com. You’ll now be able to have a printer-friendly version for your convenience or the ability to send your results to your cell phone.

C. Recent Searches

Click on the Recent button and select from the list of recently searched locations.

To save one of these addresses as your home address, click on the H button.

To save one of these addresses as your work address, click on the W button.

The initial map displayed will default to your home location.
